MOI-MEME SUBSCRIPTION / THE THRIVE BOX

As mentioned in my last review of Moi-Meme (@moimemebox), Moi-Meme is a lifestyle mindfulness box, it is released quarterly, matching each season to a box, and costs £54.95. Whilst this may seem steep, their boxes generally give you luxury products worth over double that, if you were to source them separately. You also fill in questions on their website so that boxes are catered to your preferences, for example your favourite colour of jewellery to wear, your favourite scents etc, which makes sure that you’re never disappointed. There’s also the option to change items once opened for another alternative.

After receiving their October box for the first time, I was so impressed that it quickly became one of my most anticipated subscription boxes, I was so excited when I received the email letting me know that everyones boxes were on the way, and the January box really didn’t disappoint.

THE THRIVE BOX / WINTER 2019

(Totally nearly wrote 2018 then, still not caught up). The theme for this seasons box was ‘Thriving’. In their own words, “this time of year is about working out what makes you happy, keeps you healthy, and allows you to live the life you want”.

YOUR DREAM LIFE STARTS HERE – RRP £18

This beautiful book, is written by CEO of Kikki K Stationery, and provides a blueprint to achieving 101 of your dreams, however big or small. It tackles everything down into smaller tasks so that everything becomes manageable, and after reading it I have to say that it talks so much more sense than most self help books, it genuinely feels realistic. It’s so nice to find a book in a subscription box, it really gives you something to dive into, and what a perfect start to inspire the year ahead! There’s daily and weekly exercises to complete to figure out what you want to achieve, and I can’t wait to get stuck in!

KATE SPADE LUNCH BAG / RRP £28

I was so shocked to find a Kate Spade product in this box – and delighted as I’m sure you can imagine. This gorgeous lunch tote bag is perfect for inspiring people to bring their own healthier options to work/school etc with them, and to save money from eating out! I know that I’ll definitely be bringing this with me to university!

NAKIN PERFORMANCE FACE SERUM / RRP £25

NAKIN is actually a brand that I’ve never heard of before, and that’s what I love about subscription boxes, they introduce you to new future loves. According to the Moi-Meme booklet guide, NAKIN is a British natural skincare brand that uses anti-ageing plant extracts such as Hibiscus, Pomegranate, Seaweed and Hyaluronic Acid to heal the skin, and best of all it’s cruelty free! The serum works as a light moisturiser after cleansing, or as a primer. I’ve tried this as both, and prefer to use it as a moisturiser, it’s so soft and silky, and it also contains green tea which I’ve noticed combats any redness!

RACHEL JACKSON ZEN FACE NECKLACE / RRP £40

Rachel Jackson is a female entrepreneur who designs 22 ct gold or silver plated jewellery and bracelets, and in my box I received catered to my questions, a gold Zen Face necklace. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Whilst I have many necklaces, I tend to pick up necklaces on the high street normally instead of a real gold necklace but you can really see and feel the quality difference. It feels as though it will last a very long time, and it’s very classic and beautiful!

PHASE ZERO COTTON CANDY BLUSH / RRP £7.50

Again another brand that I’ve been introduced to through this box, Phase Zero is a new British makeup brand which is affordable yet premium quality. Their shades are perfect for giving a subtle flush in the winter months. Cotton Candy is the palest which fits my skin perfectly, in making me have a nice touch of colour, without looking like a doll (we’ve all been there). I’ll definitely be checking out the rest of their new range!

WAS IT WORTH IT?

For a box selling at £54, the overall total of the contents were £118.50, not including packaging so I think it was absolutely worth it. I love how the themes always tie the products into each other, the whole box inspires you: to be healthier, to take care of your skin, and to chase your goals. It really is the perfect box for the New Year. Whilst it is pricier than other subscription boxes, there’s definitely so much more quality to it, which is the reason that it’s fast becoming my favourite subscription box of all time, it always feels chosen and made with care. I can’t wait for the next box!

I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on Moi-Meme’s latest edition?
